2ND APRIL AWAY GAME TO OTTERY ST MARY,

A big thankyou to lee and sonya for doing the match report this week for the tiverton games.

ON THE 12TH FEB WE WENT TO OKEHAMPTON, THE MANAGER FOR THERE TEAM, CONGRATULATED
MARTIN , FOR ARE TEAMS ABILITY TO PASS THE BALL. AND PLAY GO0D FOOTBALL, WELL DONE BOYS.

MATCH DAY REPORTS

16TH OCTOBER WEST EXE EXILES 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 0

The whole raiders team did us proud, in there game against exiles, which is a very strong team, which we remember well from last year. The raiders started well, with strong passing and great defening from
Thomas burhop and Thomas Blackham. Ben Goodier, Jacob Rice and Thomas Moore controled well in midfield and up the wings. By half time, no-one had scored. all because of two very good goalie's.
Second half exiles put more pressure on the raiders. They had a few chances, but Oran bramble's determanation in goal stop them. Jacob Rice pushed forward up the right wing, pass to Louis Adey, to skim the goal. good try Louis. We ended the game a well deserved 0-0. well done team your manager and parent are very proud of you.

WEST EXE RANGERS 2 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 4

Second game was against westexe rangers and they took us by surprise in the first minute, by scoring. This is all it took to shake up the raiders and they started playing a strong game. Louis Adey had a near miss, within minutes. The raiders kept pushing forward passed west exe ranger, a free corner taken by Ben Goodier, to Jeds well positioned header, to score are first goal of the day. well done Jed de Maynier ending the first half 1-1
Second half Thomas Moore came up the midfield passed to Louis Adey to score are second. Within minutes Luke Spiller came up the wing, had a shoot but it rebound of the goalie into Jed de Meynier path and goal. West exe rangers kept the pressure on, but Ben Goodier and Thomas Blackham kept stopping them in defence. Thomas Moore did his famous dribble around player to score are fourth. west exe saw a gap in are defence and pushed throw to score there second. We had a few more near miss by Luke Spiller and Louis Adey but ending the game 2-4

30TH OCTOBER CULLOMPTON 2 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 2

The raiders had a trip up the M5 to play Cullompton and Feniton. the raiders took on Cullompton first and within the first minute Thomas Moore sent the ball from the right to Jeds waiting foot to score. The raiders where confident with the ball and scored a second from a pass from Luke Spiller to Thomas Moore. Cullomopton took stock of the first five minutes and fought back, pushing are defence hard, Thomas Blackham and Ben Goodier kept them at bay, by half time we where up 2-0. Second half saw a determined Cullompton side pushing the raiders hard, Jacob, Louis and Luke found it difficult to pass Cullomptons defence to score, Five minutes in and Cullompton dribbles around are defence to score.
Cullompton took advantage off a corner to score just before full time. We ended the game 2-2

FENITION 1 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 0

Second game was against Feniton, we remember well how strong Feniton team is from are cup game, with they players being more sturdy. The raiders were holding the game well. Louis and Thomas Blackham where keeping Feniton attempts at bay. Ben did some great saves in goal, but the raiders struggled to get passed Feniton strong defence. second before half time Feniton broke throw are defence to score. The raiders never gave up and in the second half Thomas Moore and Louis both had near misses. The strong defening of jed and Blackham and Ben's goalie skills made sure Feniton did'nt get any more goals. we ended the game a 1-0 lose, good try team

15TH JANUARY CS JUVE 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 3

The raiders started the year with two home wins. Taking on CS Juve first. The raiders looked strong in defence as the wind blow against them, making it hard work. threw out the first half the raiders had many near misses , including a skimmed post by Louis Adey. Second half and having the advantage of the wind behind us, it was not long before a right wing pass from Jacob Rice to Jed's waiting foot to score are first for 2011. It was within minutes and a rebound from CS juve goalie gave Luke Spiller the chance to score are second. The raiders attempts carried on,shot after shot, pushing Cs juve goalie, but he kept on saving them. Five minutes to the end and Luke Spiller came up the right wing , pass to Jacob Rice to score are third.. a very big well done to Thomas Blackham, Thomas Burhop and Ben Goodier who were amazing in defence.

WEST HILL WASPS 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 3

Are second game for the day was against westhill wasps. Thomas Moore, Jed and Jacob looked strong passing up the pitch and it was not long before Jed scored his second goal for the day. From a corner kick. West hill were determined to score but thomas blackham and ben goodier defening never let us down .Come half time we were 1-0 up. Now we were against the wind again. but the raiders determination to push forward was rewarded, with a strong left wing pass from thomas moore, so Louis Adey's could tap it in. Just before full time Thomas Moore hard work paid of and he scored are third goal. of the game. Well done team you all worked well together today.

5TH FEBRUARY SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 1 WHIPTON YOUTH 3

The raiders where home to whipton this week. They took on Whipton Youth team first. Within the first minute Youth took the lead, with a goal helped by the wind. It was not long before Whipton Youth made it two, with a long shot. The raiders where not dishearted. Ben Goodier and Thomas Burhop defended strong and Oran Bramble kept saving Whipton Youth attempts. The whole team pulled together. By half time we were 0-2 down. After a few words from Martin and Lee the team came out fighting. Jed De Meynier and Jacob Rice were passing the ball well and we were soon rewarded with a goal, from Jed from Thomas Blackham header. The teams defencers were pushed throughtout the game. Whipton Youth never stopped putting the pressure on, taking every chance to get past Ben and Thomas but was stopped by Oran Bramble amazing goilie skills. Minutes to end and Whipton scored again , ending the game 1-3. Good try boys

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 5 WHIPTON WANDERERS 0

A now deternined team took control from the start. A free corner kick by Thomas Burhop saw its way to Jed De Meynier waiting foot to score. It was not long before Thomas Moore received the ball from Louis Adey left to make it 2-0. Now a warmed up Jacob Rice and Thomas Moore pasted the ball up the middle field to result in Thomas Moore's second goal. The raiders were making light work of passsing the ball, making it hard for Whipton Wanderers to attack. Just Before half time Thomas Moore made it a hatrick, by weaving between the Wanderers defence to score. Second half and the Wanderers frought back but
Ben Goodier and Luke Spiller in defence made light work of wanderers attempts. The whole team determnation was rewarded with a last goal by Louis Adey, sent from Thomas Moore Right.. Overall a very good win of 5-0 .

12TH FEBRUARY SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 4 OKEHAMPTON BARCA 1

First half and Barca took a early lead. This is all it took for the raiders determination to kick in.
Strike after strike and the raiders failed to score. Barca defended strong, so much so, we were awarded a penalty, when they fouled Jacob Rice. Up he stood, the whole team behind him. GOAL. Straight into the goalie's right corner. More suprises happened in the second half. Louis Adey had a near miss with his right foot. Then a corner by Ben Goodier, went to Thomas Moore, he dribbled pass Barca, passed to Cian to score his first goal for the raiders. GO CIAN. Not to fill left out, Thomas Moore took the ball from goilie Oran Bramble, dribbled up the middlefield, right throw Barca players, to score are third goal. The raiders looked confident, giving strong passes between themselve. A few minute to end Louis Adey was rewarded with are last goal, when it slide throw the goalie's hands. Game ended 4-1 win. We could not decided a man of match , every player put 100% into the game. So Thomas Moore, Louis Adey,
Thomas Burhop, Oran Bramble, Luke Spiller, George Lowe, Thomas Blackham, Ben Goodier, Jed De Meynier,
Jacob Rice and Cian Warren, well done boys.

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 4 OKEHAMPTON MILAN 3

Two even teams came head to head. Milan determation to win saw them score the first goal. We responded with Jacob Rice taking on Milan's defence, passing each one with confidence , then swinging the ball into the goal. Milan came back to score again. The raiders strong passes, soon went to Luke Spiller , he dribbled around Barca defence, to send the ball flying into the left corner of the goal. Within a minute Luke Spiller received the ball from Thomas Moore, shoot with his left foot, it flew high, hit the top goal net and in. Half time and we were up 3-2. Milan kept the pressure on but the raiders tactful passes and confidance kept Milan at bay. George Lowe had a near miss, when it hit the goal post, but Louis Adey was there to finish it off, making it four. Milan never gave up and managed one more goal before full time. Ending the Game 4-3 win

19TH FEBRUARY SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 2 ALPHINGTON LION 5

We took Alpington by surprise when defender Thomas Burhop, made a sprint to score his first goal of the season. Alphington responded by upping there game and the raiders struggled to stop them. Alphington dribbled around us, give strong passes and scored four goals within the first half. Second half and we gave Alphington the run around. Ben Goodiers defending kept stopping there attempts. The team started passing the ball around the pitch with more confirdance. Five minutes in and Alphington made there firth goal. The raiders were not dishearted. Thomas Moore sent the ball from the right, to Louis Adey, to score are second. The team kept on trying, with near misses from Jacob, Thomas Moore and Louis Adey, but Alphington had a very good defence. We ended the game a 2-5 lose, Good try boys, we can't win them all.

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 5 ST MARTINS 2

It was now the raiders turn to shine. Strong passes and good defending saw the raiders take the lead with Thomas Moore first of many goals. It was not long before Moore made it two, when Luke Spiller headed the ball towards the goal, it hit the post, rebound down for Thomas Moore to finish it of. A determined defence saw of any St Martins attempts. Before half time Thomas Moore dribbled around St Martins defence to make it a hatrick. Second half and down one goilie, St Martins took advantage with a goal from a free corner kick. A very strong foul from St Martins gave Thomas Blackham a penalty. Up he stood. shot straight into the right corner. Well done Thomas Blackham, your first goal for the raiders. It was not long before Thomas Moore made it his 4th goal, then he took on St Martins defence single handed. A few minutes to end and St Martin managed one more goal to end it 5-2 win

26TH FEBRUARY SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 4 HONITON FIREBALLS 0

The raiders showed great skill in todays two games, taking on Honiton Fireballs first. Strong passes and communication between players gave Thomas Burhop the First chance to score, when it skimmed over Fireballs goalies head. A very sticky , drizzley pitch didn't stop the raiders and Thomas Moore made it two, by a single dribble around Honiton Fireballs to score, Honiton Fireballs found it hard to pass are defenders. Ben Goodier and Thomas Blackham were going a great job, taking turns to go up pitch and pass confidentially, By half time we were uo 2-0. Second half and Thomas Moore took a sprint up the right, passed to cian to tap in are 3rd goal, It was good to see a team work so well together. strong passes and contol kept the raiders ahead. Thomas Moore saw a chance to score his second goal of game. sending the ball flying into the corner of the net. ending the game a successful 4-0 win

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 5 HONITON SHARKS 0

The drizzle finally stoping we took on Honiton Sharks. The raiders controled the game from the start. Jacob Rice sent the ball roward the goal, just so Luke Spiller could tap it in. Within minutes a free corner, taken by Louis Adey was recieved by Luke Spillers waiting header to make it two. The team played with confidance, passing between themselve, making it hard for the Sharks. Louis Adey came up the wing and swinged the ball from the left, straight into the right corner of the goal. WOW WHAT A GOAL LOUIS..
Thomas Moore Made the fourth goal of the game when Thomas Blackham came up from the defence, passes to Moore and in it went, left corner. Second half and Jacob Rice determation to score carried on. Attempt after attempt, but the Sharks goalie kept saving them. Louis Adey came up the left,sent to Moore's waiting foot to score are 5th. Throughtout the game every player gave it 100%
especially Jacob Rice attempt to score.

12TH MARCH SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 0 STOKE HILL 0

Hats off to the raiders for taking on top of the league stoke hill and coming out with a 0-0 draw.
The raiders determination in defence gave Stoke hill a hard game, Thomas Blackham and Thomas Burhop strong defeneded and passing up the pitch gave the raiders chances to move forward. Thomas Moore and Louis Adey had near misses, within the first half, but Stokehill defeners stop them everytime.
Second half and more frilling football to watch. The ball yo-yo up and down the pitch, towards each others goals. The raiders deternation not to lose, gave us a few chances to score by Louis Adey, but each time it kept on skimming the post. The whole team gave it there all and was rewarded with a 0-0 draw.

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 1 CENTRAL CITY 1

Second game against strong team Central City, saw us draw 1-1. Feeling a little tied from the first game. It took a the raiders by surprise when city scored the first goal, from a left corner. This is all it took to lift the team up. Controled passes between Ben Goodier and Thomas Moore gave ben a chance to score, but it skimmed over the net. More chances where made with near miss by George Lowe and Thomas Moore.
Moore was rewarded with a single handed goal just before half time.
Second half and both sides had more chances to score, but good defence work from Jed and Ben, and some very impressive saves from oran. Kept the score at 1-1. City almost made it a second but oran dived to save and was fould. Oran got up, determined to carry on, with a sore eye, saved a few more to end the game 1-1

19TH MARCH AWAY GAME TO DAWLISH PHOTOS

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 5 DAWLISH ODDS 0

The raiders had a late kick off against Dawlish . In lovely sunshine, for a change.
We took on the odds first, From the off the raiders took control of the game, giving strong passes and good contol of the ball. Dawlish odds tried hard to get throw are defence but burhop and blackham were on good form. tackerling and passing the ball up throw the midfield. to give Thomas Moore and Luke chances to score. jsut before half time Thomas Moore single handed, took on the Odds defence to make are first goal.
Second half and Louis Adey came on and with in a minute scored are second goal. A determined Louis made it his second ,a few minutes later. The whole team were working well together, passing between themselves. getting more chance to score. Thomas Moore score two more goals, passed from Ben Goodier to make Thomas's hatrick.

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 1 DAWLISH EVENS 1

Now the raiders took on the stronger Evens team, on a pitch we never like as it slope all over the place.
The raider found it hard to get into the game, with such uneven ground. Ben Goodier and Thomas Blackham were doing a good job in defence, keeping any of Evens attempts at bay. Oran did some amazing save to keep the score 0-0. coming up to half time and Thomas Moore took the ball up the right and swinged the ball into the net. Second half and a determined Dawlish Evens team , where pushing hard to get throw are defence. The raiders gave it there all, but Dawlish Evens got throw to score. We carried on playing , trying are best to score more but, found it had to get throw there defence, We ending the game 1-1 draw

26TH MARCH TIVERTON WHITE 1 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 1

On Saturday morning Sidmouth Raiders travelled to Tiverton to play Tivy Whites and Tivy Yellows. The Raiders started off against Tivy Whites and both sides were playing brilliant football, the defence had most of the action with some fine defending from Blackham and Burhop. Rice and Moore linked up to force 2 good saves from the Tiverton keeper just before half time. After the break the defence was Burhop and Goodier. The Raiders started the brighter side with Spiller and Adey making some excellent runs up the wings. Adey passed to Moore and the Tivy keeper pulled off a brilliant save. Tivy then broke really quick to force a fine save from a inform Bramble. Tiverton went on to score from the corner as the Raiders were caught napping in defence. Two minutes later Rice and Moore linked up for Moore to score with a fine finish. The match ended 1-1 with Oran Bramble getting MAN OF THE MATCH

TIVERTON YELLOWS 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 2

In the second game the Raiders started with some fine footwork from Rice, and a good link up between Moore and Adey. The Raiders were much the stronger side as Moore crossed the ball which the Tivy defender turned into his own net! The Raiders battled really hard with some tough tackling from Goodier and Adey, with Bramble pulling off some great saves to denie Tivy Yellows an equaliser. Half time changes Moore for Spiller. In the second half the Raiders continued to battle hard resulting in Burhop's clash with a Tivy player. As the game came to an end Moore came on foe Rice, Moore won the ball and with some quick thinking played a through ball to Spiller who scored our 2nd goal on the final whistle. The match ended 2-0 with the whole team ORAN BRAMBLE, THOMAS BURHOP, THOMAS BLACKHAM,
BEN GOODIER, LOUIS ADEY, THOMAS MOORE, LUKE SPILLER, JACOB RICE ANS CIAN WARREN getting

2ND APRIL OTTERY ST MARY CANONS 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 13

What a amazing result today, with two impressive wins. First up was Ottery St Mary Canons and within the first minute we had scored two goals. First goal from Adey passes by Spiller, then Spiller scored from a Rice pass. The raiders passed the ball with confirdence, showing how much they have improved over the season. Spiller made it the third, when Adey sent it from the left. Rice scored the next two goals, one bonced of Lowe and the other sent from Spiller. Just before half time Adey made the 5th by a Goodier back pass.
Second half and it was not long before Moore scored from a Spiller pass. Adey made it a hatrick with a rebound from the goalie. By then manager martin changed a few player around. Bringing goalie Bramble, out of goal and moving some defender forward. Lowe saw his chance to score, when it rebounded of the goalie. Then it was Spiller turn to make his hatrick,from Goodiers left pass. Now it was goalie Bramble turn to score for the first time, when Spiller sent the ball to Bramble waiting foot, shot and GOAL. Goodier determation to score was rewarded a few minutes to end, with a power shot into the right corner. To finish the game Moore sent the 13th ball into the net. Well done team.

OTTERY ST MARY BARRELERS 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 6

Second game against Ottery St Mary Barrelers and straight away we notice a stronger team. Barrelers passed stronger but it was not long before Moore saw his chance, to dribble around there defence to score, Barrelers deternation to go forward was stopped by good defending from Blackham and De Meyier, which was sent back to Adey, shot, it rebounded of the post and Adey made the second goal.
Second half and Barrelers struggled to stop the raiders scoring, Moore scored from a power shot from the right into the net. Then Rice single handed dribbled around Barrelers defence to score. The Raiders showed good control and communication between each other, playing great football. Goodier made the 5th goal coming up the left wing, to swing it into the net. Few minutes to go and Rice crossed the ball to Moore and he back kick it into the goal, ending the game a 6-0 win.

9TH APRIL PINHOE SHARKS 0 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 12

It did'nt take long before the raiders warmed up, to play outstanding football. Strong passes saw George Lowe score from a bonce back from the goal. Captain Ben Goodier made the second goal from a left wing kick. Impresssive determation with Luke, Jacob and Ben gave George the chance to score his second. The whole team worked well together, passing and communicating, giving themselve every chance to move forward. Jacob came up the right, passed to George to make his hatrick. Second half and george, luke & thomas burhop went off and Louis, Thomas Moore & cian came on. Birthday boy Louis made the next goal when he weaved around sharks defence to send the ball screaming into the net. The sharks found it hard to move forward. Thomas Moore scored the next two goals ,both by a single dribble around the sharks defence to score. Jed and Ben kept control in defence, sending any attempts back up line. Louis saw his next chance, when Thomas Moore sent the ball from the midfield to Louis waiting foot to score. Minute later and Louis made it a hatrick with another single dribble around sharks to score. Thomas Moore made it his hatrick when he curved the ball from the right into the net. A few minutes to go and Jacob scored when Louis passed it from the left corner. Then Cian score the last goal when Tmoas Moore moved up the wing, passed so Cian could tape it in, ending the game 12-0 win. Well done boy

PINHOE SPARTANS 1 SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 4

Thomas Moore took control from the start, passing between himself , Louis, luke and Jacob, to move up pitch. The spartans were a strong team and made the raiders work hard, to move forward, but it was not long before Thomas Moore scored. When Louis sent him the ball from the left wing. Ben and Thomas Burhop defended well, sending the ball back up the line. Spartan got throw but Oran was ready saving any attempts. Just before half time Thomas Moore weaved around the spartans defence and sent the ball into the right corner of the net. Second half and the raiders kept up the good work, controling and passing around the pitch. They moved towards the goal, Jacob took a shot, it rebounded of the goalies hand and Louis sent in the third goal. The spartans were determined not to let us score and this resulted in a bad tackle. Up stood Thomas Moore to take the penalty, power shoot, right into the net. Not long to go and the whole team where showing how well they play. One minute to go and the spartan got throw are defence and scored from a right corner, ending the game 1-4 win .

16TH APRIL SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 1 BRIXINGTON BLUES 0

The raiders took on brixington blues first and straight away the raiders took control of the game. The ball was mainly on the raiders attacking half throw out the game. many attempt to score and we were still 0 -0 all because of brixington amazing goalie. Spiller. lowe and goodier worked hard to move forward to score and we had near misses from spiller and goodier. second half and more nail biting football. Jed and burhop kept control in defence. sending any attempt up line to Moore & goodier. Moore recieved the ball, dribble around brixington defence and power shot it into the net. More chance to score were seen in this half, but brixington goalie stop every try. well done boys if it was not for there goalie the score would have been a lot higher.

SIDMOUTH RAIDERS 0 EXMOUTH AMATEURS 6

This is the one game the team have not been looking forward to this season, Every year we lose badly, but the raiders gave it there all in the first half. Oran did some impressive saves and jed and burhop defended strongly. Five minutes in and exmouth scored from a long shot. The raiders carried on trying,
spiller came up the right wing taking on exmouth very tall winger. passed to moore to shot, it hit the cross bar and back out. so near. seconds to half time and exmouth scored again.
second half and the raiders were getting tied, as some player had not come of the pitch today. Exmouth took advantge of this by score four more goals. but the raiders never gave up and where determined to play good football . well done boys martin and lee are very proud of you all.
